Our History

Established in 1981, Government Polytechnic College, Muttom, has been a cornerstone of technical education in the region. Over the years, we have grown into a premier institution, known for our commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

Student welfare is paramount, with separate hostels for men and women, providing a safe and comfortable living environment.Our canteen fosters community, while the stadium promotes physical fitness and sportsmanship.

The college was founded in 1981 and later shifted to its new campus in 1990. In the same year, it introduced Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering courses, marking a significant expansion in its academic offerings. Since then, the institution has continued its journey of growth and excellence, reaching into the year 2025 with a legacy of commitment to quality education.
